We explore the south coast of Iceland, that has many incredible photo opportunities. Glacier lagoon, Europes largest glacier, black sandy beaches, fields of lava and we pass the notorious Eyjafjallajökull volcano. There is a fair chance of witnessing the northern lights.

Photographing the northern lights

This is a laid back luxury workshop of culture and cuisine amidst terrestrial nature and celestial sightings.

Snæfellsnes is a peninsula in the west part of Iceland. It’s named after the famous Snæfellsjökull, an active volcano and a glacier on top. It’s a fantastic location for landscape photography for it’s many landmark attraction and easy access to them. It’s a miniscule version of Iceland. You can find everything Iceland has to offer in a condensed form in terms of landscape, nature and culture. Witnessing the northern lights, Aurora borealis, is a celestial experience. To photograph them is a technical challenge. We help you achieve both.

Bird photography in Westman islands

Westman Islands is a small archipelago off the south coast of Iceland. These islands are full of life especially in the air.

We’ll travel by small boat to Bear islands to document egg gathering of the local people. There are birds by the thousands in 120 meter high cliffs (400feet). The egg gathering is an ancient way of living and very dangerous. We’ll also cruise the islands and islets to photograph birds in the air, orcas and whales in the ocean and splendid sea caves. Lunch is served on board. Fresh seafood of course.

Glacier exploration on 4x4 superjeeps

Langjökull is the second largest glacier in Iceland. It’s famous for spectacular landscape, ice caving, 4x4 driving and dog-sledding.

This is a very unique photography adventure. Standing on a 1 km thick ice in a middle of all white world is an absolutely astounding experience. The scenery is like nothing you have ever witnessed before. You’ll explore the glacier from several standpoints. The melting ice forming the most spectacular waterfall in Iceland, Gullfoss. Water spurting 40meters up in the air by Geysir. The hot springs by Hveravellir and a glacier lagoon with floating icebergs. This tour is the kind local Icelanders do for winter sport. It’s rarely available for outsiders except in a form of day tours for regular tourists.
